Nifty futures on the Singapore Exchange traded 125.5 points, or 0.70 per cent lower at 17,895.50, signaling that Dalal Street was headed for a negative start on Wednesday. Here are a dozen stocks which may buzz the most in today’s trade:

Tata Steel: The largest steel maker said its consolidated steel output stood at 7.57 million tonnes (MT) for the quarter ended March 31, 2022, registering a year-on-year fall of about 3 per cent. The company had produced 7.80 MT of steel during the January-March quarter of financial year (FY) 2020-21.

NTPC: The state-run power giant has inked a pact with Gujarat Gas Ltd for an initiative to blend green hydrogen with the piped natural gas (PNG) supplied by the latter.

Marico: The FMCG major said its domestic business in the January-March quarter stayed relatively firm, helped by ‘low single-digit’ revenue growth and marginally positive volumes.

Dr Lal PathLabs: The diagnostic services provider said it has launched a pilot project to use drones for transporting blood samples. The use of drones would expand Dr Lal Pathlab’s services to inaccessible locations.

Yes Bank: The private lender said its net advances grew by 8.8 per cent to Rs 181,508 crore in the fiscal ended March 31, 2022. The bank’s net advances were at Rs 166,893 crore in the previous fiscal ended March 2021.

Lupin: The drug maker said it has inked a licensing pact with Alvion Pharmaceuticals to commercialise medicines for cardiometabolic diseases in Southeast Asia. The Mumbai-based company said it is committed to providing affordable treatment options to healthcare providers and patients.

Bandhan Bank: The Kolkata-based private lender said its loan book crossed the Rs 1 lakh crore-mark for the first time in January-March 2022, registering an increase of 16 per cent compared to the same period a year ago. The bank’s total loan stood at Rs 1,01,359 crore during Q4 of FY22.

TVS Motor Company: The two wheeler company company and Jio-bp have agreed to explore the creation of a robust public electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure for electric two-wheelers and three-wheelers in the country, building on Jio-bp’s growing network in this space.

Torrent Power: The utility player has raised Rs 600 crore through the issuance of 6,000 non-convertible debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis. The issue is proposed to be listed on the Wholesale Debt Market Segment of NSE.

Tata Steel Long Products: The crude steel production of the steel maker grew by 6 per cent in FY22, despite the disruption caused by Covid-19 and shutdown of one of the blast furnaces for few weeks during Q4FY22. Steel sales volumes have increased by 2 per cent.

IIFL Finance: The non-banking finance company has bought back $50 million worth of overseas bonds with funds raised through a loan from a global bank. The buyback will reduce the company’s cost of funds by around 225 basis points.

Nazara Technologies
: A wholly-owned subsidiary of the diversified gaming and sports media company has invested $2.5 million (over Rs 18 crore) in the US-based game fund Bitkraft Ventures.

Poonawalla Fincorp: The prominent NBFC said its assets under management (AUM) grew 17 per cent year-on-year to Rs 16,575 crore at the end of the quarter ended March 31, 2022. The AUM growth was 9 per cent quarter-on-quarter.
